I was born a cheesehead, and my Yooper husband claims that once you've lived half your life as a Yooper you can call yourself one, so I'll become a 'real' Yooper at 58 years old. Totally worth the wait.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology. I worked in pharmaceutical development before moving to Gladstone nine years ago. I worked as Production Manager at Upper Hand Brewery and then headed out on my own to open Superbloom Coffee House in downtown Gladstone.
I am a graduate of the Delta Force Community Leadership Program, a member of the board of Directors for the Delta Regional Child Advocacy Center, a member of the Cameron PTO, and a former volunteer for Youth Empowering Services. I am left-handed, have three thriving kids, a moderately thriving vegetable garden, and a tendency to pick up random hobbies.
Oh, and I think teachers are superheroes.
